Erdogan Wins Turkey’s Presidential Election

Turkey’s Supreme Election Council (YSK) announced on Monday President Recep Tayyip Erdogan won an absolute majority in the presidential election.



Turkey’s Supreme Election Council (YSK) announced on Monday President Recep Tayyip Erdogan won an absolute majority in the presidential election.
Turkish citizens voted in the parliamentary and presidential elections on Sunday.

Currently, 99.2 percent of the boxes have been opened as Erdogan is leading with 52.5 percent of the votes while his major rival Muharrem Ince lags behind at 30.6 percent. Anadolu news agency reported.
Along with the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), the Justice and Development (AK) Party’s election ally, the People’s Alliance has won 53.6 percent of the votes as 99.1 percent of the boxes have been opened so far in parliamentary votes.

Meanwhile, Turks abroad celebrate Erdogan’s election victory.

Turks in Germany, Sweden, Bosnia, Lebanon, United Kingdom, Azarbaijan, Pakistan, Netherlands and many other countries celebrated the victory of Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the election.
