Indian Envoy to UN Read Pakistan as “Terroristan”

India strongly responded to the speech by Pakistan’s PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to the UN general assembly, as the Indian envoy Eenam Gambhir, first secretary with India’s permanent mission to the UN, called Pakistan as “Terroristan.”
“Pakistan is now Terroristan with a flourishing industry producing and exporting global terrorism,” the envoy said.
She also accused Pakistan of “avaricious efforts to covet the territories of its neighbors”. Quoted from BBC.
The Pakistani Prime Minster (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi accused India of “war crimes” in the disputed Kashmir region and of “exporting terror” to Pakistan.
He also called on the UN to appoint a special envoy for Kashmir region.
Relations between the nuclear-armed neighbors have worsened in recent times, mainly over Kashmir.
This comes as President Ghani in his address to UNGA has called on Pakistan to work together to curb extremists, saying “I call upon Pakistan to involve in a state to state dialogue on peace, security and regional cooperation leading to prosperity.”
