According to reports, a delegation of Taliban group met with Americans on 14,15, 16 November in Doha, Qatar and stressed on peaceful resolution of Afghan issue.
“the talks were preliminary, no agreements have been reached yet, during the meetings, the Islamic Emirate truly expressed the current status in Afghanistan, insistence on holding the holy Islamic system as well as honestly resolving the country’s problems,” Zabihullah Mujahid, who introduces himself as the Taliban spokesman wrote on Twitter.
“The propaganda being published on some media outlets about the interim government, the election and the next president, are completely baseless,” he added.

This comes as Associated Press reported yesterday, citing some sources among the Taliban, that the group has agreed with the Americans on interim administration and has proposed Sattar Sirat as head of that office.
On Sunday afternoon, the US special envoy on Afghan peace Zalmay Khalilzad said at a press conference in Kabul that he is cautiously optimistic about reaching an agreement with Taliban before the upcoming presidential election.

However, the plan of interim government and delaying the presidential election has become serious after the second round of Khalilzad’s trip to the region, meeting government officials and some Jihadi leaders.
