The head of Afghanistan’s IEC says that the processing of information is ongoing fast and the preliminary results will be announced later in October.

The head of Afghanistan’s IEC says that the processing of information is ongoing fast and the preliminary results will be announced later in October.
“All election material has arrived from all provinces and the processing of information at the data centers is ongoing,” said Hawa Alam Nuristani, the head of IEC at a press conference in Kabul on Monday afternoon.

“The international friends are monitoring the commission’s work daily and they are also satisfied with this historical process,” she added.
“things underway fast and the primary results will be announced on its determined time,” Nursitani stressed, saying that the commission is committed to transparency and partiality.

Meanwhile, Chief of IECC Zuhra Bayan Shinwari said that “4528 complaints have been received by the Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC).”
