The cancelation of Qatar meeting, which took weeks for getting preparations, has received reactions.
US special representative on the Afghan peace process Zalmay Khalilzad has regretted it and Taliban group accused the Afghan government of sabotaging the peace process.

On Saturday night, the Afghan government announced that the Qatari government has delayed the meeting after denying the government’s participants list for the intra-Afghan dialogue.

The meeting was scheduled to be held on Saturday and Sunday between the Taliban and the Afghan government’s delegation.
“I’m disappointed Qatar’s intra-Afghan initiative has been delayed. We’re in touch with all parties and encouraged that everyone remains committed to dialogue,” Khalilzad twitted. Adding that “I urge all sides to seize the moment and put things back on track by agreeing to a participant list that speaks for all Afghans”.

Former Afghan president Hamid Karzai also said that the Afghan people will soon take solid steps in the intra-Afghan dialogue for bringing peace.
After Doha meeting, a new intra-Afghan dialogue was due to be held in mid-May in Samarkand.
