Iran, Russia, and Turkey say Syria War Has No Military Solution

The presidents of Iran, Russia, and Turkey emphasized on Syria’s national sovereignty during a trilateral summit held in Tehran on Friday by issuing a twelve-article statement.
Turkey’s Tayyip Erdogan, Russia’s Vladimir Putin, and Iran’s Hassan Rouhani agreed in a final statement that there could be no military solution to the conflict and it could only end through a negotiated political process.

According to their joint statement, all terrorist groups must be destroyed in the country.
The leaders accentuated on their strong and consistent adherence to the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Syria as well as the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter.

Hassan Rouhani, Vladimir Putin, and Recep Tayyip Erdogan reaffirmed their determination to continue to cooperate for the ultimate destruction of ISIL, Jabhat al-Nusra and all other individuals, groups, entities and existence affiliates with al-Qaeda or ISIL in Syria identified by the UN Security Council.
