Second VP Opens Herat-Delhi Direct flights

The second Vice President Sarwar Danish on Tuesday inaugurated Herat-Delhi direct flights in western Herat province.

Mr Danish appreciated Herat’s local administration in launching international flights.

Herat governor Mohammad Asif Rahimi meanwhile said in addition to international flights from Herat’s airport, we wish the international air corridor for transportation will be launched in the near future.

“The first flight of Herat-Delhi had been composed of 130 national businessmen and citizens,” Herat governor said. “stressing to provide more facilities for businessmen and exporters.”

Currently, the flights between Herat-Delhi are carried out by Ariana airplanes.

Herat Airfield is one of the largest airfields in the country, which officials say is set to become one of the most equipped airfields in the country.

The government of Afghanistan plans to build advanced facilities at Herat airport which it will turn into the largest cargo airport in the region.

Herat-Mashhad, Herat-Islamabad, and Herat-Delhi are currently flying from Herat Airfield. In the near future, Herat-Dubai and Herat-Istanbul flights will also be launched.
