The representatives of Taliban group in Qatar has said their political envoys are looking forward to having official communication with the US, in order to find a political solution to end the war.
This comes as New York Times on Monday released a report, saying that Trump ordered the country’s diplomats to hold direct talks with Taliban.

“We have reviewed the reports regarding the decision of the USA about getting the preparation for direct talks and looking forward to hearing an official suggestion to begin these talks, but no official contact has been established yet,” a Taliban representative in Qatar told the Daily Times correspondent.
To build confidence, we want the names of our leaders to be removed from the UN sanction list before starting the direct talks, the Taliban representative said on the condition.

This comes as the Taliban office in Qatar closed days after the opening in 2013 due to severe criticism against the existence of Taliban white flag, having the phrase of Islamic Emirate.
The report indicated that now the USA is ready for direct talks with the Taliban. However, the general commander of NATO and US forces Gen. John Nicholson rejected any direct talks with the Taliban.
