The Taliban group announced that their delegation’s visit to Pakistan and their meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, scheduled to be held on Monday Feb. 18 has been canceled.

According to reports, the visit was canceled on the order of Taliban leader Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzada.
The group had previously said in a statement that the visit was due to the official invitation of Pakistan for peace talks between the group and US officials in Islamabad.

“The talks are about ties between the two countries and the problems of Afghan businessmen in Pakistan,” Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesman said earlier in a statement.
