Ata M. Noor reacted against the distribution process of EIDCs by the government, saying that imposing identity will lead the country toward division.
“Electronic ID cards must be distributed according to the law of civil registration which had been approved by the parliament of Afghanistan or a national consensus should be formed in this regard,” said Mr. Noor speaking among his fans in Balkh province.
He emphasized on consultation with the people in the distribution process of e-IDs.

Mr. Noor described current ID cards as the imposition of identity, adding this process is not approved by other ethnics of the country, and ARG’s team cannot impose it on people by creating a gathering of ten fanatic people.

Although Balkh governor emphasized that “we are all Afghanistan and we need to be a single nation” but said the distribution of electronic ID should be started based on the agreement of the people not imposing identity.
“Distributing IDs based on the agreement of the people will provide the convergence of the people,” he said.
“Insulting and imposing identity is not acceptable and we will strongly stand up against any disrespect to the identity of the people,” he underlined.

It is worth mentioning that the process of distributing e-IDs by the government has faced harsh reaction of the political sides.
